Can the floodlight camera record 24x7?

No. The floodlight camera records motion activated events. The floodlight camera has longer detection range and supports 3s pre-buffer to make the recording prompt and complete. The 3 motion sensors and further detection range let the floodlight camera detect potential event further. The 3s pre-buffer records the whole event, starting earlier before the object enters into the detection zone.

How does the 3s pre-buffer work?

The floodlight camera watches environment 24x7 and keep rolling 3s of recording in memory. When it detects an actual event, it starts recording and adds the 3s pre-buffer to the video.

Does the floodlight camera support activity zone?

Yes, the floodlight camera supports up to 4 activity zones. User can set the activity zone to exclude unnecessary event alert or recording out of the interested area.

Does the floodlight camera connect to eufyCam HomeBase?

No, the floodlight camera is a standalone product which connects to user’s home WiFi network.

Can the floodlight camera support data backup to eufyCam HomeBase?

Does the floodlight camera support AI?

No, the floodlight camera does not support facial recognition.

Does the floodlight camera support Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant?

Yes, the floodlight camera supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. User can stream live video onto the compatible Alexa or Google display devices with voice command, like “Alexa, show me the garage door” or “OK Google, show me the garage door on living room TV.”

What’s the capacity of the internal storage? Can I upgrade it?

We use eMMC for the storage. The floodlight camera has 4GB local storage built-in for motion-triggered recordings. In the scenario of 30 video clips per day, 1min length per recording, the 4GB eMMC can store about 14 days recordings.

What’s the wireless range of the floodlight camera?

The floodlight camera connects to home WiFi. It works with any 2.4GHz wireless router, mesh system or modems. Depending on user’s WiFi transmit power, distance and walls in between, the floodlight camera range varies. In our field tests in the US, it works well in most 3000sqft houses.
