Easy to install, exceptional cameras and a great app. What else can I say. brilliant system.

After using a different brand that came with yearly subscriptions, I decided to look for one that did not ask for yearly subs.

After considering different option, looking at reviews, YouTube explanations and multiple written reports, I ended up getting the S4 kit.

Great package with the 2 camera units and the Homebase. Very easy to follow setup instructions, box full of all the items you will need and giving you options and the overall process of setting up them all was very easy too.

The options of being able to add to this at a later date was also one of the reasons I went with the Eufy range. No more Subscriptions, plenty of space for recordings, the ability to add to the security - what more could I ask for.

The camera system delivers notably sharp 4K footage, and the multi-lens design gives a clear advantage when tracking movement across wider areas. Its pan-tilt function responds quickly, allowing thorough coverage without leaving blind spots. Colour night vision also performs well, keeping detail intact even in darker corners of my long garden I've set this up to monitor. I do have strong WiFi in my property and garden, but even when using the direct connection with the included Homebase, I did not have any issues with camera connection.The built-in solar panel makes a practical difference, removing the need for frequent charging and keeping the units running reliably through varied weather. Motion tracking is smooth, and the hybrid zoom helps capture close-up detail without losing clarity. Setup is straightforward, and the expandable storage option offers welcome flexibility for long-term use.Across daily use, the system remains stable and easy to manage. Alerts arrive promptly, and the footage feels dependable for monitoring outdoor spaces. Overall, it stands out as a well-rounded choice for anyone wanting premium image quality and low-maintenance operation. Whilst on the pricier side when compared to other options, I believe that the feature set of this package makes it absolutely great value.

Eufy’s eufyCam S4 2-Cam Kit is an easy to setup external security camera system for the home of workplace. This starter kit comes with two cameras with wide angle and 8x zoom lens. The latter is on a self-tracking or manually steerable motorised ball. The fixed lens is 4k and have a wide 130-degree field of view; the zoomable cameras are 2k. Both work well and give good video in day and even colour video at night. The kit includes two solar panels to keep the cameras charged; these can be mounted on the camera, or separately onto a wall or roof to get better light.The pack also includes the S380 wireless base station, this has 16gb of storage for recordings built in, but you can expand it with 2.5” sata drives to store more footage. Out of the box this isn’t a constantly recording system rather it triggers of movement, with some local AI functions to help it recognise issues. The movement detection is helped in that each camera has a radar sensor on it for tracking movement, this seems to ignore swaying trees, but not people walking towards the house. You can setup movement zones; so, you can ignore public spaces or neighbours’ drives if you need to.The 2k camera moves to track people walking in front of it; and you can have lights turn on to welcome people as they approach. If you want continuous recording, it’s available to purchase in the app.Unlike some of the eufy cameras these aren’t accessible in apples HomeKit; though it is with Alexa and google home.Eufy has made the setup very simple; and it is compatible with their in-home cameras too. The app is easy to use; and sends alerts and notifications when it detects movement that let you see what’s happening straight away. That the cameras are solar powered; have large batteries with a long life make this all a great package. You can fit them up near the eves and leave them without having to run wires or charge them. Easy to setup, great video day and night and a wide and zoom lenses to get video footage and store it on the base station should you need it later.

I also have a Eufy robovac (not perfect but very good), and another set of Eufy security cameras (very good). In fact the only Eufy product I have tried that I was less than satisfied with was an older generation EUFY doorbell.So these cameras... I will first of all mention the price - currently £549 -which is steep enough. So are they worth it?I would say that depends on your specific needs and circumstances. For me, the huge appeal to these is that they can be installed wirelessly - that's a massive advantage over many of the (admittedly much cheaper) PTZ type camera systems out there. Also, the solar power panels do seem to be very efficient, even in our recent dismal weather. The triple lens arrangement is excellent, particularly the pan and zoom facility and the night vision. 16GB of built-in storage is generous too, currently I see no need to add to expand that however I am going to see if I can link it to my home NAS, just to have that extra space if needed.This a a very slick and well-designed system, which I cannot fault.I do revisit my reviews if something significant shows up in subsequent use - I'd be surprised if I had to in this case.- - - - - - - - - -Note: As a member of the Vine program I was supplied with this item free of charge.
