Excellent camera set and homebase.

After a recent burglary to my home I was looking for a CCTV system with no subscription and came across this Eufy E42 2 cam set and homebase.

The set up was easy and connected smoothly with my router with a direct connection via the cable. The camera and motion tracking is excellent, it picks up people well and follows them around. The thing that sold it to me was the fact that the camera has a siren and flashing light which can be armed when away and also activated remotely via the app if I see someone coming into my property.

After using for a week now I have noticed 2 things that need improving:

1. The familiar face detection is hit and miss but main thing is it picks up people.

2. The capture of still images i.e. faces is quite poor most of the time. The pictures are blurry or pixelated. This needs resolving ASAP as clear pictures are a must.

I hope Eufy fix this with an update to the firmware. But overall and a very good system which you can add to if needed. Also make sure yiu get the 1tb hard drive as this allows ample storage.
