Performed above my expectations

Well, it was early February and after months of research, I took the plunge and bought two of these mowers when the price dropped. I have 4 lawns totaling about 1,200 square meters, but one of them is separated from the others by quite a distance and a couple of steps, so I decided that I would have separate mowers. However, you could just purchase an additional base station from Eufy (which are individually coded so the mower knows where it is), and carry the machine between stations.I was shocked by how easy they were to assemble - Extremely well packaged, with just 4 screws (with hand tightening ability) to hold the top of the charging station in place and that was it.I installed the app and connection was very straightforward, Firmware automatically updated (about 20 mins per machine) and it was off to place the charging stations. I used a breeze block at the rear to hold them in place initially, just in case I needed to change the location, as the three "upper" laws are some distance apart. As it happened I didn't need to. The app controls are sensibly laid out and very intuitive (absolutely no manual reading required)Two of the lawns are in opposite directions from the charging station, which is a little way off the lawns on a patio area, and the other is accessed from one of those two lawns, across the drive. Setting the paths between station and lawns, and between lawns is incredibly easy, using the joystick function on the app. The machine sets off to map the first lawn, returning to base without issue (it is somewhat hypnotic watching it work) I had a couple of areas on each lawn that the machine had avoided, due to bare patches, so I set "must mow" areas up (simples) I did not have to set up any "No mow" or "No go" areas, as it had perfectly mapped the lawn, neatly avoiding borders, but they are equally easy to set. I did have to play with the "Edge spacing" to get it to cut just over the lawn edge, where it runs along the drive. (This is a global setting for the mower, not the individual lawn and I would hope that a future update allows further granularity, as I also have an edge which runs next to gravel, which could be a bit disastrous to the razor blade type cutters) The machines are super quiet and therefore don't disturb anyone (be aware that they do not work until half and hour after sunrise or after half an hour before sunset, which can't be changed) The grass was a good 55mm long and very wet for the first cut, which although the cut was near perfect, left quit a bit of grass cuttings visible on the lawn. I have cut twice since then with the height set (in the app) at 35mm and there are now no visible clippings left and the lawns look pretty good! Being still in February, I thought I would try one test cut today in drizzle, with heavier rain forecast. In the drizzle, it went off to work with no problem, again no evidence of clippings, but when the rain came, it sent me a message saying that rain was detected and it was returning to base. For reference, there is a setting to manually tell it to restart when the rain has stopped or automatically re-try after a set period. Despite the very wet lawns, the machine has not caused any "churning up" when turning at the end of each row, which my petrol ones would most certainly have done. There is an option to set the direction of stripes in the lawn, although this is currently a global setting by machine, which I would hope will be changed to by lawn in a future software update. I currently have it set to "Auto rotate" so each time it cuts, it does so in a different direction, thus removing the repeated turning at the end of each row.In summary then, I am exceedingly happy with these units. Time will tell how they perform into spring and summer seasons, but so far they are well made, quality pieces of kit which have performed above my expectations.
