Great security system
After setting up the eufy Security eufyCam C35 kit around my home, it quickly proved to be a reliable and surprisingly enjoyable bit of tech. Installation was simple, and the magnetic mounts make it easy to adjust whenever I fancy checking what’s happening around the garden or who’s been visiting the bird feeder at night. The picture quality is excellent, with sharp detail and rich colour even in the dark, and the facial recognition feature has been far more accurate than expected. Local storage keeps things private and free from ongoing fees, while the sturdy build has handled rain, frost and the occasional football with no trouble at all. I particularly like knowing I can check on deliveries or the pets from anywhere, and it has genuinely made me feel more at ease when away from home
This is a well-made security cam system for a home setup. It is apt for a newbie or someone using this kind of system for the first time. Setting up this camera system was surprisingly straightforward. The multiple mounting options, magnets, screws, or just placing it on a shelf, made installation flexible for both indoor and outdoor use. I liked that I didn’t need to drill holes unless I wanted to. The connection process through the eufy app went smoothly as I had other devices from Eufy in past and was familiar with the app. The video quality during the day is very clear, and the colour night vision handy, being able to see details without the harsh glare of spotlights makes reviewing footage more natural. I also liked that it doesn’t rely on a monthly subscription. The local storage option is helpful to know that the footage stays private and accessible. The AI detection is fairly accurate. Cross-camera tracking is a thoughtful feature, especially for keeping tabs on movement across different zones of my property. The magnetic mount is convenient but feels a little less secure outdoors in very windy conditions, so I ended up using screws for added stability. The AI detection, although useful, can still send the occasional false alert, particularly when small animals move in shaded areas. Since the microSD card isn’t included, there’s an extra purchase to make before fully using the local storage feature.Overall, this camera system offers a balanced mix of convenience, smart functionality, and privacy-focused design. It feels well-suited for someone who wants reliable home monitoring without ongoing fees or complicated setup or a newbie.
I got the C35 4-Cam Kit and it’s honestly been perfect so far. The setup was quick, the cameras paired easily with the HomeBase and the app walks you through everything step by step. The image quality is great, clear in daylight and surprisingly sharp at night with the colour night vision. I love that there’s no subscription needed; everything saves locally, which feels much more secure. The magnetic mounts make installation super easy, though I used the screw mounts for the lower ones to be safe. The battery life’s decent so far, and it’s handy that it supports solar panels too. The app notifications come through fast and the motion detections' accurate enough, just the odd false alert from random cats. It’s solidly built, weatherproof, and hasn’t dropped connection once. For the price, it’s a great all-round security setup — simple, smart, and no faff with ongoing fees.
£200 at time of review C35 4Cam KitI have a Eufy SoloCam E42 with a HomeBase S380 that I’ve been using the past few months and I really like. It’s not perfect but in general it’s pretty good and has been running flawlessly for about 3 months now. So I got this to set up at my fathers home, as his current system is getting a bit long in the tooth and I was looking to upgrade it and was looking at getting another Eufy system, as I like having my own base station to store my footage and not needing a subscription… although Eufy do offer subscriptions for advanced features etc, but you don’t need one to get up and running and it’s likely the non-subscription offering covers all your needs. What’s great about these is how small they are and how simple they are to set up. The cameras in my own system are much bigger, yes they are 4K, they can pan tilt and zoom, and even have solar panels, and as they sit outside that’s fine, but I was looking for something that I could use outside and indoors, and these cameras are small enough to be used indoors without being an eyesore, plus as they have magnetic holders, you can even detect them and move them around easily, which depending on your needs could be very usefulI’ve set up Eufy cameras before, and I as I mentioned in my review for my own ones, the set up of these is the easiest I’ve ever come across, the manuals, the apps & software are so well designed and thought through, you should be up and running in minutes. (You can get further details about the set up process with that review that I won’t repeat here)https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/customer-reviews/RGIBER34KQ8GX/ref=cm_cr_getr_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8Image quality is good, although it’s only FHD @1080p, which TBH is a bit disappointing nowadays, as the bear minimum is usually 2.5K, yet it’s still good enough for capturing the coming and going’s and keeping a log of activity. There’s no two way communication feature, so you can talk with a courier etc at your door (although that’s not something I’ve ever used with any of my own security cameras in the years that I’ve had them and had the feature)If you’re looking for an easy to set up camera system that stores all your footage locally, has a well designed app, basic AI and facial recognition, notifications etc all without a subscription, then I can honestly recommend this or any other Eufy system if you’re considering them, it really does just workHope my review was helpful
I wanted a security system that didn’t rely on monthly fees or cloud plans, and this one really delivers. The setup was straightforward — the cameras paired quickly with the base unit, and the magnetic mounts made positioning ridiculously easy. It’s one of those rare setups that actually works right out of the box without hours of faffing about. The image quality is brilliant, both day and night. The colour night vision is surprisingly clear — you can actually tell what you’re looking at rather than just seeing blurry shadows. Motion detection has been reliable too, and the app notifications come through quickly enough to be useful rather than an afterthought.Battery life has been strong so far, even with fairly regular recording, and I really like that it supports a solar panel option. Saves constantly taking them down for charging, especially for cameras mounted higher up.The build quality feels sturdy and weatherproof. We’ve had a few downpours recently and they’ve kept working perfectly fine, so the IP67 rating seems justified. If I had one minor gripe, it’s that the magnetic mounts are great for flexibility but could be a bit more secure for easily reachable spots — someone determined could remove them. I’ve added a couple of screw mounts for the lower cameras, just to be safe.Overall though, this kit feels solid, reliable, and well worth the price. The fact it records locally without any subscription nonsense makes it even better value. It’s definitely made me feel more at ease around the house.
This EufyCam C35 is a wireless security camera and is ideal for home or yard security. The camera supports video recording in 2K resolution. It has night vision, but unlike some of the others on the market that need spotlights to record at night, the C35 uses PureColor Vision TM to record full colour video at night – without the need for extra light. So you can record in full colour instead of glowing grayscale silhouettes. The camera has a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way audio communication. The 1080p resolution camera comes with an f/1.2 aperture and 1/2.9″ CMOS sensor and offers a 130 degree field of view.Smart AI motion detection means you’ll be able to identify and detect people, pets and vehicles and set key zones to get personalised notifications. The whole system is wireless and can be used indoors or outdoors. It works without a subscription, instead storing data locally on internal storage or through the included Eufy HomeBase hub using micro sd cards(not included).Using the Eufy Security mobile app, you can view live video, receive notifications, and manage camera settings. We have the four camera set with the storage hub included, this set up is very good and for under £200 it’s excellent value for money.
The kit comes with everything you need, including screws and wall plugs. I must admit I struggled to work out how the cameras connect to the mounts, which seemed strangely awkward, so I was grateful to find the setup guide video here on the sales page. It turn out they just need a good push to fit in place, rather than trying to screw them in.It takes about 8 hours to fully charge the cameras via USB-C, but the set up process linking to the wi-fi is fairly straightforward using the Eufy security app, which I downloaded from the iOS App Store. It has a range of options, including the clever stuff like human recognition. Each camera feels solid and weather-resistant, and once connected to the HomeBase Mini, everything runs through the app quite smoothly. I find that having four cameras provides a lot of flexibility over placement, whether indoors or out, but also allows to have one on standby fully charged to swap out at any time. The picture quality is excellent in daylight and remarkably good at night. The colour night vision works well and avoids the harsh, spotlight look some cameras have. Local recording means there are no monthly subscription fees, which is very welcome these days, and the microSD slot gives the option to expand storage later.Notifications arrive quickly, and the AI detection generally does a good job distinguishing people and vehicles. It’s not flawless and occasionally a passing cat sets it off, but I have found the same with other cameras and overall it feels reliable. Battery life seems reasonable so far, though heavy use or frequent motion triggers will drain it faster. The C35 kit offers solid image quality, flexible mounting, and good software integration. It’s a smart choice if you want a capable, subscription-free security setup that’s easy to manage from your phone. I haven't had any wi-fi connectivity dropouts so far.
This is a great multi cam system that can be easily fitted and once you've used the ethernet to connect everything up, you can set it to WIFI and unplug everything, which is a must have in a house where everything seems to need to connect to the router via a cable. It saved me buying an ethernet switch, which I'm grateful for.The cameras are fairly unobtrusive and look nice, and the homebase mini is nice and compact. You can add memory cards to the cameras as well the homebase so can expand the memory of the system up to 1tb.The 8gb built in should do me, which is a bonus. The app is ok to use, fairly straightforward and talks you through set up etc clearly, step by step.Picture and audio quality is great, yet there is a few seconds delay in transmission so this should be taken into account security wise. The mounting brackets are great, they can either be placed using the extra strong magnets or screwed into place with a mounting plate. Everything you need (apart from tools) comes supplied.Really impressive, compact four camera security set up that is truly wireless apart from the power cable for the homebase.

It includes four wireless cameras that work both indoors and outdoors, with a clean white finish and a compact design. The magnetic mounts make installation quick and flexible, you can reposition them easily without drilling or tools. Each camera delivers clear footage day and night, thanks to color night vision. The facial recognition feature adds a smart layer of protection, helping you identify familiar faces and spot strangers. It’s IP67 rated, so it handles rain and dust without issue.Local storage means your footage stays private and accessible without cloud subscriptions. It’s also compatible with solar panels, so you can keep it powered sustainably if you choose.Overall, it’s a reliable, user-friendly system with solid features and no hidden costs.
