Outstanding cleaning performance but be prepared for the price and size

Having previously owned another Eufy robovac, the first thing I noticed with the Omni S2 was just how much more powerful the suction feels. It picks up dirt, dust and debris with ease, and the new roller mop is a significant upgrade too. It has done a far better job of removing ingrained muddy marks and sticky patches from our hard floors than any robot mop I've used before. Our home transitions between tiled and laminate flooring, with a rug in the living room, and the S2 handles the lot without fuss. It moves smoothly between surfaces, climbs onto the rug easily, and adapts its cleaning accordingly. The navigation system is excellent, with the cameras and AI creating detailed maps and adjusting quickly when furniture gets moved around. It also cleans surprisingly well along edges and into corners, making it a definite step forward from older models. The self-cleaning dock is brilliant and takes away most of the day-to-day maintenance. That said, it isn't completely self-sufficient. You'll still need to empty waste containers and give the dock a clean every now and then, but it's far less work than maintaining a traditional vacuum and mop routine. I found the app straightforward to set up and easy to use, with plenty of options for scheduling and customising cleans. The vacuum is also quieter than expected. We often have it running downstairs in the evening after everyone has gone upstairs, and the only sign it's been working is the noticeably cleaner, shinier floors the next morning. One unexpected side effect is that it cleans the main floor areas so thoroughly that any awkward spots it can't quite reach eventually stand out like a sore thumb, meaning I occasionally have to tackle those manually. That's more a compliment to how well it cleans than a criticism. The main drawbacks are the size and cost. At around £1,600 it is eye-wateringly expensive, although the premium build quality, advanced technology and excellent performance do go some way towards justifying the price. The docking station is also massive and really suits homes with plenty of spare space. In truth, I sometimes feel this machine deserves a larger house than our moderately sized terrace, but even so it has been fantastic at keeping on top of daily cleaning. If you want one of the most capable robot vacuum and mop combinations available and can stomach the price, the Omni S2 is seriously impressive.

Exceptional suction power and intelligent cleaning in one complete system

The Omni S2 combines advanced cleaning technology with impressive automation, making everyday floor care remarkably convenient. One of its most notable features is the powerful 30,000 Pa suction, which provides excellent pickup performance on hard floors and carpets, easily handling dust, pet hair, crumbs, and debris. The HydroJet 2.0 self-cleaning roller mop is another standout feature. Unlike traditional mopping systems, the roller continuously cleans itself during operation, helping maintain better hygiene and reducing the spread of dirt across floors. The mopping performance is thorough and leaves surfaces looking fresh and polished.Navigation is equally impressive thanks to CleanMind AI technology. The robot moves efficiently throughout the home, intelligently mapping rooms, recognizing obstacles, and optimizing cleaning paths to maximize coverage while minimizing missed areas. It transitions smoothly between different floor types and navigates around furniture with precision. The all-in-one station significantly reduces maintenance requirements. It handles key tasks automatically, allowing the robot to operate with minimal user intervention and making routine cleaning much more hands-off. This level of automation is especially valuable for busy households. The overall design feels premium and well-engineered, with a strong focus on convenience, performance, and smart home integration. From powerful suction and advanced mopping capabilities to intelligent navigation and automated maintenance, the Omni S2 delivers a comprehensive cleaning experience that helps keep floors consistently clean with very little effort.Highly recommended for homeowners looking for a high-performance robot vacuum and mop system that combines powerful cleaning, smart navigation, and advanced self-maintenance features. Thanks

Deceptively simple yet extremely advanced robot hoover

With my benchmark being the Omni E28, which I have been very happy with not only how it hoovers but washes the floors as well.On opening the S2 is a taller base station and the design is sleeker and certainly futuristic, looking like a sci fi office block. There aren’t that many pieces to assemble it and I found it straightforward, possibly having done the E28 before. There is a paper quick start guide and the manual is electronic from a QR code, which is well worth reading before use.Everything was simple and there is an addition of a small screen on the top of the tower that tells you if there are any errors, which is a great improvement over just the app. This also tells you what the robovac is doing, in some cases what progress it is at and charge level, which is useful. There are buttons next to the screen for return home, resume and switch hoover/wash modes.I consider the screen/button experience to be a much better than just the app.The water tank needs filling, simply with tap water and the floor cleaning fluid tank on this version is now a plug in disposable 330ml cartridge rather than a solution pour in tank. The app is next – download or just open up and add the S2. The setup was extremely simple – the hoover was found straight away and the wifi connected with no problems. There was a firmware update that needed to be installed but it was then ready to use with no installation issues at all.Something I was surprised at – it needs to map the house again, something it takes some use to do as it trundles around mapping as it goes. This isn’t a problem, but I thought it would have transferred across from the E28.In operation it is similar to the E28, but it has the enhancements that both set it apart and also incur the extra cost. It is noisier, simply because the suction capacity is higher and it actually sounds like a hoover when it is working. It is therefore more effective at hoovering and dust extraction. For me the E28 has been a – very useful – assistant, as I wanted it to wash the hard surfaces, which this does as well. It is great to set off the robovac and it cleans the rooms you choose through the app, washing and hoovering the floors that I really have never liked doing. I don’t need it to hoover the carpets so much. There is also a low rider mode where the robovac lifts itself up on suspension for different levels of carpet/flooring.But the S2 has a big upgrade in the form of the unit that ozonates the water in the clean water tank - you can actually see this happening in the tank, claiming that by using this process the cleaning doesn’t just now remove physical dirt but also kills 99.9% of bacteria. So the floor doesn’t just look clean, it is clean. The price is obviously one of the biggest considerations to the unit, but there are others that the E28 shares. The first is the app, which mostly controls the robovac on the S2, therefore longevity of support and what happens if it ceases being supported. The second are the running costs, the floor cleaner and the parts maintenance, these being tracked in the app to indicate the lifespan remaining before replacement and can be bought from the Eufy store. Used every day they will need to be replaced – at a cost – more often, which a conventional hoover never does. Also – It needs physical cleaning and maintenance to keep running, so the more you use it the more it will be needed over just emptying a dust hopper. Is it worth it? It performs in a similar way to the E28, but is more powerful and the floor cleaning with ozonated water really is something over just looking clean. The tower also looks much better at the loss of the mobile carpet wet cleaner. So it is actually a better unit with more advanced non-visible technological features. If you can’t stretch to this budget – the E28 is great, if you can you get a similar robovac but superior suction and a cleaner that mops the floor and sterilises it as well. And for me – I think they are both great assistants, taking one of the worst cleaning chores I have to do and making it no more than clearing the room for it to do it while I do something else, with my main corded hoover to bridge the gap of regular hoovering.

Omni S2 is now the boss!

Having another Eufy C10 self emptying robot, this is a good comparison to the Omni S2 which is four times the price. Is it four times the performance though? then read on for my opinion. The first thing that is apparent is the sheer weight of the robot itself as well as the very imposing collection base.Makes the C10 look a bit simplistic although it too is capable of doing our upstairs, but less impressively so.The S2 also has a large water container as a it has the ability to be a very powerful automatic hard floor mop, and it certainly uses quite a bit of water as we mostly have hard floors in our medium sized cottage. It also has a dirty water collection container but be warned that it needs emptying early as the dirty water tends to go off badly. We have a spray disinfectant at hand to mitigate this. The software is just as excellent as all Eufy's other robots, cameras and extenders and they can all be controlled and monitored from a centralised APP that acts as a HUB for all things Eufy. As I have mention in all reviews, the software is a masterclass of design and function and the Omni S2 has the most impressive section yet.The APP is VERY easy to set up as all you need to do is scan the QR code and the app does the rest. The machine does a mapping of your chosen floor (downstairs in our case) on first mission and it certainly does a better and faster job than others. Although it went home without realising that there was another door hence missing a room. Second outing was OK.This issue might have been due to the S2 being as far away from the wireless router in our house and it possibly got lost.I also had a Eufy WIFI extender still in box, so the problem was solved after setting this up.For this serious amount of investment then you would expect next level performance and I am pleased to report that it does not disappoint. The built in camera and radar makes a brilliant job at circumnavigating shoes, dog bowls, clothes etc. and it marks them with an AI driven estimate of what and where it is.It certainly does not look as much like a 'dumb machine' as the other two cleaning robots we have. The AI in 3D map mode even makes a good guess of sofas, tables, rugs, fridges and puts a representation of them in 3d on the map. Very impressive and cool!NOTE on the 3D. It was made available after a software update and was able to use it for a few days. But I could not access it after that. Maybe a glitch, but it was an impressive 'nice to have' while I had it none the less. 2D is still very good. The S2 does very well in sensing which kind of floor it is cleaning and switches between mop mode and vacuum mode instantly and effectively. When finished or if it self detects it needs emptying, it very quickly goes back to base to empty itself of both dirty water, to refill water, empty the robot. Emptying the robot is a hoot as the main base has an almighty powerful suction to empty the contents into its collection bag. I thought the C10 was load and powerful sounding, but the S2 sounds industrial. Enough to scare the dogs!It finally goes back after it's mission to recharge and self clean and dry the mop(which takes a LONG time), as well as to condition the water with OZONE for deep cleaning which disinfects and kills dust mites. You can even see the OZONE mechanism working. So in conclusion from the best 'Top of the range' robot that EUFY make and I presume better than most other brands, I personally think the outlay is justified in large to medium floors especially with rooms with mixed surfaces such as hard floors with rugs.It gets under beds and furniture that are usually inaccessible to standard VACS. It even has a powerful torch built in so it can see in dark area under beds so it's camera sensor can work.It has a VERY impressive AI where it detects, maps floors that can change daily due to temporally placed items and monitors itself to automate self cleaning and filling/emptying.This is the first robot that I envisaged that the future would be like and is the most impressive AI I have seen on a machine to date.Like all AI driven machines though, they have their limitations so if you realise that, then this Omni S2 is a powerful automated cleaning system for ALL floor types.Thoroughly recommended!

Excellent quality product, great value for money, life changing for me

So I have never, ever been so excited to do a Vine review more than I have for this. I have been a proud and loving owner of a Eufy robot hoover/mop since March this year. The X10, it cost around £600 and given that I have 2 dogs (that shed hair), 3 messy kids and a gardening clueless husband, it was life changing. THEN I got the chance to use and review the Omni S2. What I thought was love for the X10 has become obsession for the S2. It is quieter, quicker and smarter. My floors have never been cleaner despite 3 kids, 2 dogs and a husband that walks grass and soil through the house. Others have commented on the size of the base but it’s no bigger than my cordless shark, it tells you what you need to do to maintain the all parts of vacuum and mop,the app also alerts you, it gives percentage time spans for maintenance, it updates me on what it is doing. I have been trialling it for 3 weeks and still haven’t managed to use all the functions. . The app is super easy to download and use - I have regular scheduled daily cleans 2x hoovering and mopping with pet dectection on. I also have a scheduled edge hugging clean, I sent it for a zone clean this evening as my kids had left a mess after tea. I love Eufy, this is literally life changing for me - the difference in price of the Eufys does show the difference in performance. This one is immense. Also I love that it puts its headlights on when under the sofa. Fantastic purchase, great value for money. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.
