eufy Video Doorbell C31

I was fed up with Google, and the yearly cost of storage, so I decided to make a change to Eufy. Installation was really easy and the doorbell works perfectly. I've mated it to a Homebase 3 for longer term storage.

Excellent product, does all that it says on the box. No subscription is a bonus

Does what I expected. Better with lighting for a colour image but better than I expected in the dark.
Easy to install and set up. Good software and recognition capabilities . Well worth it.

Very easy to install. Good quality video. And surprisingly easy to access clips remotely - which I didn't think would be the case. Battery life with motion detect on seems to be a fraction under 2 weeks, so the 6m value must be with minimum features. Will be looking to wire it, but very happy with it so far.

Its a best Doorbel that I had so far really crispy quality of picture and video motion sensor works amazing no montly fees I'm over moon with Eufy products.

Very pleased with the C31 doorbell, the picture quality is excellent. and movement detection is extremely sensitive and able to filter out human movement from others. The doorbell ring is loud and very clear. Mounting the doorbell and setup was very easy. I paired mine with a Minibase Chime but was unaware that these are not fully compatible with each other. The Chime will ring in response to a signal from the C31 but although the Chime will accept an SD card it will not allow video recording. Video recording only works if the SD card is mounted in the C31 doorbell, which seems a ridiculous set up given that it means the SD card is stored outside and in an unsecured manner (it is extremely easy to unclip the doorbell from its mount, it takes seconds to do). The only way to secure the SD card and keep it indoors would be to purchase a Homebase 3 which is much more expensive. I also prefer the way the Minibase Chime plugs directly into a wall socket, much tidier and discreet than the Homebase 3.
The Eufy phone App is good, takes a little while to get used to but works well and alerts come through very promptly. However video clips are slow to decrypt and download.
Using the battery supply for the doorbell and after approx 1 month this is down to 40% but could be initial high power use due to initial setup and 'playing' with the system. Undecided yet as to whether to purchase another battery and regularly swap or convert to a wired supply. Strangely Eufy do not have a 240V AC converter available from their store.

I HAd a Ring doorbell and wasn't prepared to pay the charges to save videos so I bought this and a chime on offer, excellent video quality . Only downside its not as quick opening videos as I would expect

Generally it works well. However, playing back videos just takes too long as the decrypting process is rather slow.

It also takes too long to pull up events and even fails more often than not.

I got this to replace a Ring doorbell which was costing £50 a month, and I wanted a cheaper (free) option. Installation was hassle free, straight replacement of the old one, although I had to fit the angled back bracket due to a narrower field of view compared to the Ring. Connecting to the app was fine via WiFi. My biggest issue is how glitchy it is. When I access the days events it's always slow to access the device, then it shows as none. It mostly works after pulling down on the screen, but they take an age to load. It works well as an actual bell, with the phone notifications being quite instant, ( which is why I'm persevering with this device), but they go on and on and on until you silence them, which, again, is annoying. I'm going to look for an alternative, but this will do in the meantime as it does eventually do all that the Ring did, which is what I was after.
